Davidson County has four open Cook Outs and three more on the way, which would take the county to seven. The open stores sit on West End Avenue, Charlotte Pike and two stretches of Gallatin Pike, while the planned ones are in Antioch, Hermitage and South Nashville. A tray here also costs more than in most Cook Out cities, because Nashville's 9.75% sales tax includes a half-point transit surcharge added in 2025.

Where are the Cook Outs in Nashville?
Four within Davidson County are open, and ratings differ more by corridor than by store. Yelp counts below are from 2026 snapshots.
| Store | Address | What the listings show |
|---|---|---|
| West End | 1809 W. End Ave. (some listings say 1807) | Yelp 3.2 stars from 256 reviews, the most-reviewed in Nashville; hours run to about 4 AM |
| Gallatin Pike, Nashville | 2910 Gallatin Pike | Yelp 86 to 87 reviews; hours 10:30 AM to 3 AM on a Monday |
| Madison | 2102 Gallatin Pike N. | Tripadvisor listing; the Madison end of the same pike |
| Charlotte Pike | 5802 Charlotte Pike | Yelp 37 reviews, the fewest of the four |
The West End store sits in the Vanderbilt and West End hotel district, across the street from a Residence Inn. Tripadvisor reviewers describe it as dependable after dark, with one reporting three late-night visits because the restaurant stays open to 2 AM or later. A January 2024 reviewer found the ordering confusing, with one counter to order and a separate one to pick up.
Which Nashville Cook Outs are coming?
Three, based on locations marked coming soon on Cook Out's website in October 2025, according to the Tennessean. None has a published opening date, and we found no report that any has opened.
| Site | Address | What is known |
|---|---|---|
| Hermitage | 5002 Old Hickory Blvd. | A former Fazoli's, in a lot that also held a Big Lots and a Hooters, both now closed |
| Antioch | 5321 Hickory Hollow Ln. | WKRN calls the street Hickory Hollow Parkway; the Tennessean uses Lane |
| South Nashville | 10 Harding Mall Dr. | WKRN describes the site as on Harding Place |
Councilman Jordan Huffman, who represents the Hermitage district, called it an exciting addition to the Old Hickory Boulevard and Lebanon Pike corridor in WKRN's May 2025 report. He said late hours would help workers at TriStar Summit Hospital and first responders on night shifts.
Why is a Nashville tray more expensive than a Bowling Green tray?
Because the tax is 9.75% against Kentucky's 6%. The Metro Nashville revenue overview breaks it into a 7% state rate, a 2.25% local option tax and a 0.5% transit surcharge that voters approved in November 2024 and that took effect February 1, 2025. The surcharge adds about four cents to a $7.39 tray. The dollar amounts apply the tax to typical prices, and each Davidson County store posts its own.
| Where | Tax on a meal | Regular Tray | Four Regular Trays |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bowling Green, KY | 6% | $7.83 | $31.33 |
| Tampa, Jacksonville, Pensacola, FL | 7.5% | $7.94 | $31.78 |
| Nashville, TN | 9.75% | $8.11 | $32.44 |
| Hattiesburg, MS | 10% | $8.13 | $32.52 |

Which Nashville Cook Out should you pick?
West End for a late tray, since it is the most reviewed and its listing runs the latest. Pick Gallatin Pike if you are driving in from Madison or the east side, and watch the Hermitage opening if you live out near Lebanon Pike. Check each store's hours on the day, since listings differ by a few minutes and sometimes an hour.
