Yelp gives the Parkway restaurant 4.0 from 37 reviews, Tripadvisor 4.0 from 15 and Restaurantji 4.1 from 306, a spread of one tenth of a point. It is a tourist stop on the way to the Smokies, and it closes at 1:30 AM on weeknights, earlier than almost every store on this site.

Why do visitors rate it so evenly?

Several reviewers were visiting from out of town. A TikTok creator said an entire feast came to just over $20, another called the menu so much food for cheap, and a Tripadvisor reviewer from out of state wrote that they could not wait to come back and wished Cook Out had locations in Cincinnati, praising the home-style burgers and 40-plus shake flavors. Reviewers single out the peanut butter Oreo and banana pudding shakes.

What do reviewers complain about?

Service and accuracy. One Yelp reviewer reported the longest wait for food and another a wrong order for the third time in a row. Some Tripadvisor reviewers called the patties small and the fries like frozen grocery-store fries, and one said the store is permanently slammed. Late hours were noted as an advantage over other nearby options.

What does a tray cost on the Parkway?

Avalara lists Pigeon Forge at 9.75%, Tennessee's 7% plus Sevier County's 2.75%, with no city rate. A 2012 Tennessee fiscal memo says Pigeon Forge planned a 2% restaurant tax; no source confirms it, so treat the figures as minimums. They apply to typical prices; the Parkway store may post its own.
